Computer related hobby interests
I currently have three H89 computers manufactured around 1980. They are in various configurations ranging from assembled and functional to open and accessible for measurements and modification to awaiting installation of remainint components to return to service. In reality they are all three used for testing of various boards and ideas related to preserving either the hardware itself or drawings and manuals about the hardware or software used on these machines.
Three H89s:
- 1 - System One - to facilitate probe of boards and peripherals.
- 2 - System Two - operational with USB adaptor to link with PC.
- 3 - System Three - dissassembled and waiting components.
The Three
The CPU board for this system is lying on the workbench with a long wiring harness back to the case..
This system is up and running. It is linked to a PC through a custom USB adapter card to facilitate file transfers and other uses.
The third system Is in a storage area and gets attention as time permits. It is basically a test platform for validation of the operational status of various components.
